Masterplan HR Management was started in 1991 to bring "big company benefits" to smaller companies. Founder Don Merritt created economies of scale by pooling the employees of many small and mid-sized businesses. A privately held corporation, Masterplan HR Management is headquartered in San Rafael, California.

Our staff includes experts in human resources, benefits administration, payroll administration and risk management.

Most of the companies we partner with have fewer than 20 employees. Some have been with us from the beginning: others have just recently come on-board.

We've spent the last decade developing Don's vision, making comprehensive benefits and expert personal service available to companies. We love the business of personnel administration, and because we do, we take the headache out of HR for you.
